Education and Credentials
Lena holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Saint Xavier University. She is currently completing her advanced internship as part of her Master of Social Work program at Governors State University, with a projected graduation date of May 2026. She has experience in school-based support services, supporting children and adolescents through both individual and group sessions.
Approach:
Lena takes a strengths-based, collaborative approach rooted in empathy, reflection, and cultural humility. She values building trusting relationships and creating supportive spaces where clients feel safe to share their experiences and grow.
Target Population:
Lena works with children, adolescents, and adults. She is passionate about helping individuals navigate challenges and build resilience, and develop tools for personal and emotional well- being.
Types of Therapy Used:
Lena integrates person-centered and strengths-based approaches with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and psychoeducation. She tailors her methods to meet the unique needs of each client, supporting both self-awareness and growth.
Issues Addressed:
Anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, life transitions, family dynamics, and emotional regulation.
