
Meet Elvialuz Gonzalez
Education and Credentials :
Elvialuz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ohio Wesleyan University. She is currently completing her advanced internship as part of her Master of Social Work program at Loyola University Chicago, with a projected graduation date of December 2025.
Approach:
Elvialuz takes a trauma-informed, person-centered approach rooted in empathy, collaboration, and cultural humility. She values building strong therapeutic alliances and believes in empowering clients through strengths-based and evidence-informed practices.
Target Population:
Elvialuz works with children, adolescents, and adults. She is particularly passionate about supporting marginalized and multilingual communities.
Types of Therapy Used:
Elvialuz uses a variety of therapeutic approaches that best support each client’s individual needs. These include person-centered approaches and incorporate mindfulness, psychoeducation, and artistic expression.
Issues Addressed:
Anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, life transitions, identity exploration, and emotional regulation.
