Meet Tamara Gilmore
Education and Credentials :
Tamara Gilmore completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and then her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Currently, she works with multiple populations also working with both Children and Adults. Her behavioral health experience over the last 10 years has allowed her to be diverse and well-educated on many populations. Mental Health has been pushed under the rug for many populations, communities, and cultures in today’s society everyone can benefit from having a neutral professional to talk to.
My theory is always to meet the client where they are in order to reach them mentally and emotionally. No client is the same so be willing to try whatever is necessary for each individual.
Tamara enjoys working with Children, Adolescents, and Adults
Types of Therapy Used:
Cognitive Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Integrative or holistic therapy. Tamara also enjoys using art and music in therapy.
Tamara has addressed many issues involving family dynamics, cultural differences, adjustment challenges, teen and adult life struggles. She has great experience working with populations of those dealing with anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.
