Meet Tatiana Nieves
Education and Credentials
Tatiana earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McKendree University and is currently completing her advanced-level internship for a Master of Social Work degree at Loyola University Chicago, with an expected graduation in December 2024.
Approach:
Tatiana believes in creating a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions. She strives to understand each client’s unique perspective and supports them in discovering their own strengths and solutions. Her goal is to help clients heal and guide them toward the life they want to achieve. She aims to empower clients to achieve personal growth, self-acceptance, and a greater sense of well-being. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or life transitions, Tatiana is committed to walking alongside you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery.
Target Population:
Tatiana works with a wide range of clients including children, adolescents, young adults, and adults from various backgrounds.
Types of Therapy Used:
Tatiana uses a wide range of therapeutic modalities with the most common being Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and Strengths-Based Therapy. Tatiana also integrates breathing techniques and mindfulness practices in her therapy.
Issues Addressed:
Tatiana is currently working with individuals struggling with adjusting to change, stress management, regulation skills, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief and loss, and LGBTQ+ concerns.
